Gardaí are appealing for information on a suspected arson attack at a petrol station in County Cork.
It happened at the Tria Express petrol station in Blarney just before 7am yesterday.
A person was recorded lighting a fire beside fuel pump hose in the forecourt of the station.
Gardaí on routine patrol attended the scene shortly after and were able to put the fire out using the extinguisher from a patrol car.
Speaking at Gurranabraher Garda Station today, Superintendent Colm O Sullivan said: “Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area from 6am and may have seen a person cycling a bike wearing a yellow hi-vis jacket and white clothing, to contact Gurranabraher Garda Station on 021-4946200.”
