Gardaí investigating the murder of Kenneth O'Brien are searching for the gun used in his killing.
The Irish Independent is reporting that a post-mortem examination has revealed that he was shot in the head - before his body was dismembered over a week ago.
DNA analysis last night confirmed that body parts found on Sunday in the Grand Canal at Sallins, belonged to the 33-year-old Dubliner.
