More than €250,000 in cash has been found stashed away in an organised crime crackdown in West Dublin.
The money was uncovered in two separate stings yesterday. Two cars were searched in Blanchardstown on Saturday morning, while houses were raided in Clonsilla and Neilstown.
€160,000 was found during the search in of the two cars, while an additional €100,000 was discovered in the follow-up operation.
Two men - one in his 20s and another in his 40s - were arrested in Blanchardstown are still being held by gardaí this afternoon.
A woman in her 30s, who was being questioned under the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act following the house searches, has since been released and a file is being prepped for the DPP.
