Gardaí have released a 59-year-old man they had been questioning about a drugs seizure in Limerick on Monday.

The man was arrested in connection with the seizure of around 10,500 Benzodiazepine - an anti-anxiety type medication - tablets in Kileely.

The tablets, which have been seized by Customs, had been posted from Austria.

They are estimated to have a street value of around €21,000.

A man (59) was arrested and detained at Henry St Garda Station, but has since been released without charge.

A file is being prepared for the DPP and the investigation into the seizure continues.
