Former GAA President Sean Kelly has praised the thousands of people who turned out in support of the Quinn family in Co. Cavan last night.

Fr. Brian D’Arcy and well known GAA figures including Mickey Harte and Colm O’Rourke made speeches supporting the family.

Earlier this month Sean Quinn Junior and his cousin Peter-Darragh Quinn were sentenced to 3 months in jail for contempt of court.

However only Sean Junior is serving his sentence as Peter-Darragh Quinn went on the run.

MEP Sean Kelly has told Radio Kerry that the moral aspect of supporting the Quinn’s is completely separate to the multi-million euro court case the members of Ireland’s once richest family now face.
