Tony Hawk caused some surprise around Limerick yesterday when he got married in Adare Manor.

The 47-year-old, known as much for his series of video games as his sporting career, wed Cathy Goodman on the luxury hotel's estate. 

He shared a photo of the ceremony on Instagram with the caption, "Tying the Celtic knot with my best friend #conjugalcelticconclave."

Hawk has six children from three previous marriages, and has been seeing Goodman for the past seven months.

They began dating a year after she divorced from Hawk's best friend Matt Goodman, who said to RadarOnline that he is "totally cool with it."
