RTÉ reveals fees earned by highest-paid presenters in 2015

Ryan Tubridy was the highest-paid RTÉ presenter in 2015, the broadcaster has revealed.

New figures released by the state broadcaster show that the top three paid presenters are all men.

Coveney: Ibrahim Halawa 'finally given opportunity to defend himself in court'

The Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney has said it "may still be some time" before the outcome of Ibrahim Halawa's trial process is known.

Mr Halawa (21), from Firhouse, has been held in an Egyptian jail since his arrest during demonstrations against the ousting of president Mohammed Morsi in August 2013.

Dublin could net over 1,000 jobs from EU agencies in London

The European Council says Dublin has submitted an application to host two major European Union agencies for when Britain leaves the bloc.

The European Medicines Agency and European Banking Authority are currently both based in London.

April 2016 figures show the EMA is made up of 885 staff - 586 of whom are temporary agents and 145 contract - while the EBA has 159 employees.

Water 'flowing again' after repairs to burst pipe in Meath

Water service has been restored to up to 10,000 customers in Meath, after a burst pipe caused outages.

The pipe burst earlier this morning on the Proudstown Road in Navan, which was closed to allow for repair work.

Irish Water said between 5,000 to 10,000 customers may have been affected in the areas north, west and south in Navan town and some surrounding areas.

What do you think about rickshaws? The NTA wants to know

The National Transport Authority (NTA) has launched a survey for the public's views on rickshaws in Ireland.

The survey comes ahead of proposed legislation to regulate the industry.

The NTA is looking for the views of public users in relation to their experience of rickshaws, existing rickshaw owners, rickshaw operators and drivers and all members of the public on if and how rickshaws might be regulated.
