Two men arrested after shooting in north Dublin

Two men have been arrested after another two men were shot in north Dublin.

It happened early on Friday afternoon at Killeek Lane, St Margaret's in Swords.

One of the men shot is in a critical condition.

Remains in burnt-out car confirmed as those of Keane Mulready-Woods

Gardaí have confirmed that partial human remains discovered in a burnt-out car in north Dublin are those of Keane Mulready-Woods.

The remains of the 17-year-old were found in a sports bag in Coolock in Dublin on Monday night.

While the other partial human remains were discovered at Trinity Terrace, off Clonliffe Avenue in Drumcondra in Dublin 3, on Wednesday.

US President Donald Trump has brought in a high-profile legal team to launch the defence during his impeachment trial - including the lawyer who got OJ Simpson acquitted and the man who got Bill Clinton impeached.

One of the top lawyers is Ken Starr, whose investigative report on former US president Bill Clinton's sexual affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky served as the basis for his impeachment in 1999.

Sinn Féin suspends Paddy Holohan over "beyond offensive" remarks

Sinn Féin has suspended its councillor Paddy Holohan from the party after comments he made on his podcast.

The South Dublin county councillor and former MMA fighter yesterday said he "apologised to anyone who was offended" by remarks he made about Taoiseach Leo Varadkar on the show - claiming his comments had been "misinterpreted".

However, further controversial remarks have since emerged.

New push for universal phone chargers across the EU

Members of the European Parliament have renewed their push for technology giants to adopt common chargers for phones and tablets.

Efforts to legislate for common standards have been ongoing in the EU for a number of years.

MEPs want to reduce electronic waste and make consumers' life easier with the binding measures.
