A male in his late teens has been seriously injured in a shooting in Dublin's south inner-city.
It happened in the Coombe area on Wednesday night.
The teenager was shot a number of times on Eugene Street just before 11.00pm.
He was taken was taken to St James's Hospital where he is in a serious condition.
Some items left of clothing have been left at the scene which has been sealed off, and a forensic examination will take place in the coming hours.
The shooting happened in a residential area close to the Coombe Hospital and Gardaí are asking anyone who may have noticed anything between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Wednesday night to come forward.
The are particularly keen to talk to anyone who could have dash cam or mobile phone footage.
