Men found in back of truck at Rosslare Port "in good spirits"

Gardaí believe the 16 men found in the back of a lorry on a ferry to Rosslare were in the container for between 10 and 12 hours.

The men, who are understood to be Middle Eastern and aged between 20 and 35, were discovered Thursday morning on a Stena sailing between Cherbourg in France and Rosslare in Co Wexford.

One of the men may be a teenager, which has yet to be confirmed.

Eleven people in court on more than 200 counts of sexual offences and neglect of children

Six women and five men have been remanded on bail to appear before the Central Criminal Court for trial on charges of more than 200 counts of sexual offences and neglect of children.

The eleven accused persons, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were brought before a court today which cannot be identified.

Each of them were served with a completed book of evidence and returned for trial.

Two more men arrested in connection with abduction of Kevin Lunney 

Gardaí have arrested two more men in connection with the abduction of Quinn Industrial Holdings executive Kevin Lunney.

Two other men, both aged 38, were arrested on Thursday morning in the Dublin area.

They are being held at Ballymun and Finglas Garda stations.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been indicted on corruption charges, the country's attorney-general has announced.

The charges include bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

It raises further uncertainty over the political future of a country heading towards a third election in less than a year.

Twitter rolls out 'hide replies' function globally

Social media site Twitter is giving all its users the ability to hide replies to their tweets on the platform.

Plans for the measure were first announced back in March.

Anyone can choose to hide replies to their tweets, and can see hidden replies, by tapping the grey icon that will appear on the tweets.
