Unemployment across the Eurozone was a record 11.2% in June.
Eurostat says another 123,000 people were out of work in the Euro area last month.
This is seen as a new Euro-era high.
But the number also shows big differences with unemployment as low as 4.5 % in Austria and as high as 24.8% in Spain.
Spain slid deeper into recession in the 2nd quarter as a tough new round of austerity affected both overall demand and the prices consumers have to pay for goods.
