The Taoiseach's been confronted by a number of angry voters while on the campaign trail in Meath West.

Enda Kenny's visited Trim where issues such as the cancellation of hospital appointments, emigration and fracking came up.

He engaged with the voters and promised to address their concerns:The Taoiseach's admitted that had he called the general election for last November it would have "ruptured the link" with the Labour party.

Enda Kenny was speaking at the final news conference of the election campaign.

He's insisting that the coalition is very near the support levels needed to be re-elected.

But he wasn't showing any regrets for not going to the country earlier:
