Nearly eight out of 10 workers has been reduced to tears after getting a telling off from their boss.

Research carried out by Peninsula Ireland also shows out of nearly 950 people polled, 770 hated their job, and 720 felt intimidated because of the pressure to outperform their colleagues.

The HR company says work shouldn't be a place that instils fear in workers, rather it should be a place that 'fuels passion and creativity'.

It is warning companies that creating a culture based on fear can only be bad for business.
