After a dull start there'll be sunny spells with showers today.

The showers will be most frequent and heaviest in the afternoon as they move in a line across the northern half of the country.

Highest temperatures will range between 19 degrees in the north to 22 degrees in the south.

Winds will be light variable in the morning then become moderate westerly by afternoon, fresh by evening.

Tonight

Tonight showers will become isolated and long clear spells will develop.

Fresh westerly winds will become moderate northwest to west by the morning.

Lowest temperatures between 10 and 13 degrees.
