Gardaí in Dublin have seized over €60,000 in cash and a luxury motor car as part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime.
Documentation and mobile phones were also seized as part of an ongoing investigation targeting a west Dublin based organised criminal group.
The searches were conducted at a number of residential and business premises across Dublin yesterday - with a solicitor’s office, an accountant’s office and a motor garage included in the investigation.
The searches were carried out by officers of the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) assisted by local garda detective units.
The motor car - valued at between €30,000 and €40,000 - was seized under the recently amended proceeds of crime legislation.
No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.
