Coronavirus: 443 new cases and nine further deaths in Ireland

There have been 443 new cases of coronavirus in Ireland.

Nine further deaths have also been reported today - three of which occurred in January, two in February, three in March and one in April.

Of today’s new cases, 208 were in Dublin, 32 in Cork, 24 in Kildare, 20 in Meath, 17 in Donegal and the remaining 142 were spread across 19 other counties.

The five-day moving average of cases now stands at 463, down from 528 as reported yesterday.

The latest figures, meanwhile, show there were 261 COVID-19 patients in Irish hospitals earlier today, including 60 in intensive care.

As of Saturday, over 930,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been administered - including over 660,000 first doses.
