CMRF Crumlin, the fundraising  body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and The National Children’s Research Centre (NCRC), has been chosen as a charity partner for the 2015 Irish Classic & Vintage Motor Show taking place on Sunday, July 5th at Terenure College, Dublin.

The Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club has organized this car show for the last 23 years, and donates a percentage of proceeds raised through ticket sales to different Irish charities each year.  Last year’s Irish Classic & Vintage Motor Show raised approximately €30,000 for its charity partners and this year the Club is hoping to surpass this for CMRF Crumlin and The Migraine Association of Ireland.

Every year, CMRF Crumlin relies on funds raised through community events and fundraisers across the country like the Irish Classic & Vintage Motor Show to contribute to the €12 million required to fund the ongoing needs of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin and the NCRC.  Monies raised from this charity partnership will be used to  fund new state of the art equipment in the radiology department of the hospital, which sees more than 50,000 patients per annum.

Speaking about the partnership, Gerry Cully said, “We are delighted that CMRF Crumlin has been chosen by the Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club as a charity partner for this year’s motor show. Funds raised from fantastic events like this contribute greatly to sustaining the great level of care at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin as well as ground breaking paediatric medical research through the NCRC.”

1,300 classic and vintage cars will be showcased at this year’s show, ranging from veteran 1890’s vehicles to exotic sports cars. The show will also feature autojumble and trade stands, breakfast catering from 11am onwards, children’s entertainment, and classical pop music from music group Bee Bop Gold. The event will culminate with a prize giving ceremony for the best vintage and classic cars at 4pm. Parking will be available within the grounds of Terenure College.

Event Details:

  • Venue: Grounds of Terenure College, Templeogue Road, Dublin 6
  • Time: Show will start at 11am and end at 6pm
  • Show tickets: Adults €12 , Children/OAPs €5, Families (2 Adults + 2 Children) €25
