Members of the Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda Drugs unit seized approximately 85kgs of herbal cannabis on Tuesday night.
The drugs have an estimated street value of €1.7 million.
The drugs were concealed in a freight consignment from Spain and a controlled delivery of the prohibited drugs was carried out in North County Dublin.

The man and woman are currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
