The body of a 19 year old man has been recovered from the River Barrow in Carlow Town.
A search operation was launched yesterday after the man fell into the water.
The Garda subaqua unit began searching the river Barrow in Carlow this morning for the 19 year old man.
It's understood he fell into the river yesterday evening.
A search operation was immediately launched - but it had to be stood down yesterday evening, due to bad weather.
The Gardai, coastguard, members of the Civil Defence, and dozens of volunteers were also taking part in the search at Millford Bridge, which is located about 3 kilometres outside Carlow Town.
This morning the man's body was recovered from the water. It's expected it will shortly be taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place
Separately, searches are continuing in Carlow town for a woman in her late 40's, believed to have fallen into the river in the town on Friday night.
