Attack

48-year-old Jason Hennessy was shot during the attack at Browne’s Steakhouse at around 8pm on December 24th and later died in hospital.

A murder investigation has been launched into his death.

One of the alleged gunmen, 26-year-old Tristan Sherry, was assaulted at the scene of the attack and was pronounced dead by emergency services after they arrived.

Gardaí are also conducting a murder investigation in relation to his death.

Investigation

The teenager is the sixth person to be arrested by Gardaí investigating the attack.

Over the weekend, a 17-year-old boy who can’t be named because he is a minor appeared in court charged with the murder of Tristan Sherry.

He was remanded to Oberstown Children Detention Campus following a brief hearing and will appear at the Children’s Court today.

Last Wednesday, a man was detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act before being released with a file to be prepared for the DPP.

It is understood his arrest relates to the wider investigation into all of the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Three other men were previously arrested as part of the investigation.

22-year-old Michael Andrecut, of Sheephill Avenue in Corduff, Dublin 15, has already appeared in court charged with murdering Tristan Sherry.

18-year-old David Amah of Hazel Grove, Portrane Road, Donabate has also been charged with Mr Sherry’s murder.

25-year-old Wayne Deegan of Linnetsfield Avenue, Phibblestown, Dublin 15 has been charged with assault causing harm, violent disorder and producing a knife.
