Protesters leave the head office of KBC Bank in Dublin

Protesters have left the lobby of the head office of KBC Bank in Dublin.

A video posted on social media earlier showed about a dozen people sitting down and holding signs at around 2.00pm on Saturday.

Gardaí were at the scene on Sandwith Street in the city.

The headquarters was also targeted on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, an investigation into a suspected arson attack on a branch of the bank in north Dublin is underway.

The building Main Street in Swords was left badly damaged by the incident.

The attack took place at about 5.00am.

Gardaí and Dublin Fire Brigade were called to the scene.

They found a window had been broken with a rock, and an accelerant used to set the fire.

Nobody was injured, but there was extensive damage to the premises which remains sealed off.
