Gardaí have recovered two firearms and arrested a man at a house in Co Limerick.

The rifle and shotgun were discovered in a planned Garda search of a house in Croom.

A 36-year-old man was detained at the house and is being questioned at Roxboro Road Garda station, Limerick city.

The suspect is known to Gardai, a source confirmed.
