Trial of former Anglo officials delayed after court runs out of jurors

The trial of three former Anglo Irish Bank officials has been put back until next week after the court ran out of available jurors.

The three are accused of deceiving the Revenue and hiding bank accounts.

The three former Anglo officials going on trial are Aoife Maguire (60) of the South Circular Road in Kilmainham, Bernard Daly (65) of Collins Avenue West in Whitehall and Tiarnan O'Mahony (54)of Glen Pines in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow.

They are accused of deceiving the Revenue and hiding bank accounts on dates in 2003 and 2004.

They appeared for trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court this morning.

Judge Patricia Ryan swore in seven members of the jury for their trial, but then ran out of potential jurors from the panel.

The remaining five jurors will be sworn from a new jury panel next week.

The trial is due to last around two months.
