Marvel comics illustrator and Cork man Will Sliney must have breathed a sigh of relief on Saturday, when his girlfriend agreed to marry him.
Sliney had drawn fiance Laura O'Callaghan a special cartoon strip of 22 images to tell the story of their relationship, leaving the big question to the final frame.
He arranged to project the images onto the wall of Preachers Bar in Cork city at the weekend.
Luckily for him, Laura accepted.
His strip traced their history from childhood, to their meeting in Cork.
And talked about his hopes for the future, before making it to the last scene...
Sliney, who has worked on titles including Secret Wars, Spider-Man 2099, Avengers and X-Men chose Laura's birthday to make the proposal.
