In a post online Dylan’s school remembered him as a “much loved” member of the school community.

“His gorgeous smile and kind heart endeared him to everyone in our school community,” wrote St Tolas National School.

“He will be greatly missed.”

Starting at the age of four, Dylan played with Shannon Town United AFC and the club described him as a “joy to be around” and someone who “always had a great big smile on his face when he played”.

They said they were “heartbroken” and his “infectious smile and energy will never be forgotten”.

Dylan is survived by his parents Laura and Gary, his sister Zoe and newborn brother Shane, his grandparents, aunt, uncles and cousins.
