Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, after the death a 16-year-old boy who was knocked down in Dublin last night.
The teenager was hit by the vehicle near the junction of Tolka Valley Road and St Helena's Road in Finglas at around 11.30pm last night.
He was taken by ambulance to the Mater Hospital but was pronounced dead early this morning.
The car's driver and passenger were both uninjured.
The road has now reopened following a Garda Forensic Collision Examination.
