A man in his 20s has been arrested after €70,000 worth of heroin was seized in Tallaght in Dublin.

Gardai searched a house at Castle Lawns in Tallaght earlier today and discovered half a kilo of heroin.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with the seizure and is being detained at Tallaght Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
