At least 46 civilians have been killed in a barrell bomb attack in Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that Syrian regime helicopters dropped explosive packed barrels on rebel held areas of the northern city of Aleppo.

This latest bloodshed comes as the total death toll from the Syrian conflict has risen to more than 136,000.
