A 10-year-old boy has drowned at a house in County Louth.

Gardaí said the boy was found at the house in Carlingford this morning.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where he was pronounced dead.

A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
