Gay rights campaigner Rory O'Neill aka Panti Bliss has confirmed he may run for President of Ireland.
The drag queen gained international fame as a prominent campaigner for a 'Yes' vote in the same-sex marriage referendum earlier this year, as well as his iconic speech in the Abbey Theatre in 2014.
A major documentary about his fight for equality, called the The Queen of Ireland, is currently playing in Irish cinemas.
Rory spoke to Tara Duggan on today's Moncrieff about the film and much more - including a possible political career.
Rory says he "will never be going into politics. It doesn't suit me - I don't like meetings and photocopies and all of that sort of stuff. Certainly I wouldn't be going into the Dail or whatever".
However while we are unlikely to be seeing Rory or Panti running for office in Leinster House, Áras an Uachtaráin could be a different matter altogether.
"I do sometimes jokingly say that in a few more years, when I'm getting a bit stiff for the high heels and the corsetry, I could see myself in the Park - my dog would love it," Rory said.
"I think you'd get two presidents for the price of one. I'm pretty good at posing for pictures and making the odd speech, and that's essentially the requirements," he told Tara.
As for whether it would be Panti or Rory running, he joked, "couldn't we do both? You'd get two presidents for the price of one... it would be very economical".
