As the computing revolution came into full swing in the 1980s, women in the workforce were being subjected to some pretty horrendous explanations of how to work the cursed machines. 

With a mixture of laughably bad metaphors, cringe-worthy visual puns, illogical comparisons, flat performances and the kind of special effects best forgotten, this video, discovered by Everything is Terrible, goes to great lengths to poorly explain how a computer works. See, a computer is a tool, like a teacup, or an umbrella.
