Last night, the who’s who of Dublin turned up in the Marker Hotel for the launch of the new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones.  

While the HTC M9 may have been the first flagship device out of the gates this year, Samsung reckon they have finally nailed the perfect combination of design, material and camera quality.  

Their decision to go for fast and wireless charging rather than adding more bulk in a larger battery or means you may need to charge more often that you want, but that charge will happen pretty fast. 

Although it seems they’ve decided to tackling the latter with fast-charging rather than a bigger power pack.

I caught up with Gary Twohig, Director of Samsung Ireland to talk about the technology in the new phones and where Samsung are looking to develop in the future.
