Ryanair has released its passenger figures for November, and announced that 22 percent more people flew with the airline, compared to the same time last year. The airline has increased its full year, after tax profit forecast from between €750m and €770m - to between €810 and €830m.

The increase comes after the company had already upped its profit forecast by a massive 32 percent four weeks ago.

Ryanair’s November load factor - the percentage of seats filled on its flights - rose by seven percent, from 81 percent in 2013, to 88 percent this year. This news comes after the company increased its seat capacity by 13 percent, and opened a number of new city routes. These destinations were designed to attract more business travellers, the company has also launched its own stripped back business class offering.

Higher than expected winter bookings and new routes have helped the airline to continue to grow. Ryanair indicated last month that it has also been benefiting from decreasing oil prices. A statement released by the company highlights the success of their "Always Getting Better" drive to improve the experiences of customers who fly with the airline. The company also recently re-designed its website and mobile app.

Aer Lingus has also released passenger figures for the month - it registers a drop of 3.6 percent in the total number of passengers carried in November. This decrease is said to be a result of a "planned reduction in short haul capacity". The airline's load factor fell by 0.7 percent to 72.6.

On a more positive note long haul traffic increased by 28.4 percent to 104,000 passengers during the month.

Aer Lingus previously reported a 13.9 percent increase in revenue in the third quarter - and an operating profit of €112.9m.
