It has been supported by the Department of Jobs through Enterprise Ireland.

Abtran's consulting and technology services division provides customer management consultancy across the company's multiple business units and client sites.

It also provides centralised business support and research insight on a day to day basis.

The 100 new roles include positions for business, technical and data analysts - as well as applications developers, digital media specialists, programme managers, project managers, training managers and change management professionals.

Established in 1997, Abtran has a diverse client base across the public and private sectors, including utilities, transport, health and financial services.

Speaking at the official opening, Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton said: "Abtran is a great example of the type of Irish company we are trying to support in this area - a highly innovative, fast-growing company which is taking advantage of the base of multinational companies we have here in Ireland in order to grow its sales."
