Kickstarter.com is kind of a ruthless place. There are so many ideas up there with great intentions and even greater ambitions. Owners and founders who believe that their product or service will take off.
While a lot of ideas fall by the wayside, there are quite a few that the community can't help but get behind and we've rounded up ten of the best that we'll be able to get our hands on relatively soon:
1) Sesame
Goodbye keys, hello military-grade security. Sesame aims to make your door far more secure than a traditional key and lock scenario. By placing a small white box over your lock you'll be able to open your door using your phone or a secret knock that you'll have pre-programmed. The guys behind this really have thought of everything, take a look at their pitch video below:
2) The Light Phone
It's often said that the most innovative ideas come from taking a step back and assessing a problem that we didn't even know we had. That's exactly what the guys behind the light phone have done. They've developed a phone that's meant to be used as little as possible.
It's rare that we can go without our phones completely. It can be dangerous, and can often cause you to worry if you're missing a flurry of calls. The Light Phone, which is the size of a credit card, takes that headache away by keeping you connected without being attached.
3) Rackless
Simplicity is key to Rackless' appeal. Rackless is a magnetic key rack that can suspend 150 keys mid air and their product is handmade to ensure the kind of quality build that manufacturing company, Well Made, are trying maintain.
The keys suspend mid air and it looks fantastic. There's also a metal beam through the middle of the shelves to ensure your phones, fob keys and devices are all safe from magnetic damage.
4) Woodies - The Perfect Fitted Shirt
There are very few things more infuriating than ill-fitted clothes. Whether you're between sizes or the the shape just doesn't suit it, it's incredibly tricky to find the perfect fit.
That's where Woodies (not the DIY chain) come in. They make shirts custom to your unique size based on 3D measurements. There's no measuring tapes and no trying on. You input your height, weight and average shirt size and Woodies will do the rest.

8) Phree
Make the world your paper. In a bid to revive physical writing Phree have created a 'pen' that allows you to draw virtually on pretty much any surface which will be picked up by your smartphone or tablet with what looks like incredible accuracy. It could make letters a thing of the future rather than the past.
9) Darma
Simple, but something that will help so man. Darma is a smart cushion that monitors how you sit and your posture and encourages you to sit better.
It's something that, if functional, could help so many workers who sit at desks for the day and those who suffer with bad backs or scoliosis.
10) Nano Heated Wireless Mug
Certainly a third-world problem but the Nano mug puts to bed one of life's more miniscule annoyances. With the mug your drink will remain at the perfect temperate for 45 minutes and keeps charge for over 7 refills.
It's a small problem but the ease at which the prototype works makes it quite an attractive proposition.
