Computer firm Dell is to create 100 new jobs in Limerick. The company is seeking highly skilled engineers to fill R&D roles.
They will be based at its Limerick campus, but will work closely with the R&D team based at Cherrywood in Dublin - as well as with IT colleagues across the globe.
This announcement builds on one in October, which saw 60 roles created at the R&D centre in Dublin.
The firm employs more than 2,300 people at its facilities in Limerick, Cork and Dublin.
The announcement was welcomed in Limerick by Finance Minister Michael Noonan, who said: "This jobs announcement demonstrates Dell’s commitment to Ireland and its confidence in the highly skilled workers who will apply for these roles."
While president of Dell EMEA, Aongus Hegarty, added: "It's a testament to the highly skilled talent available in Ireland that we're continuing to invest in the region."
"Today's announcement underscores Dell's commitment to our operations in Ireland and highlights the significant role that our people in Limerick, Cork and Dublin play within our global business."
Operating in over 170 countries, Dell is one of the largest retailers in the world.
