There are devices of all shapes and sizes here at CES. Most companies use this opportunity to show off their very best innovations to the world, but Microsoft did something slightly different. Rather than flaunt a flashy device with bells and whistles, Microsoft launched the Nokia 215.

This old school looking phone has a 2.4-inch screen, a 0.3MP camera and buttons. This is an interesting move in an era where everything from phones and TVs to ovens and washing machines are beginning to use touchscreen.

The 215 will have 2G Internet connectivity and can run Facebook and Twitter.

Microsoft's Nokia 215 will be available for just $29. This is the ideal price bracket for emerging markets. The Nokia 215 is the most affordable Internet phone ever produced by tech giants Microsoft.

The phone uses a platform which is designed for minimum power consumption, Series 30+. While users wont be able to download applications to the device, there are a certain number of functionalities on board. Other features of this phone include an FM radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Nokia 215 will be available in Europe in the coming months.
