All eyes are on Apple this week as its Worldwide Developer's Conference takes place in California. The company unveiled new hardware and announced iOS11.

There are many interesting and brilliant features of the new operating system, but it is important to note that it is only compatible with 64-bit devices. This means older iPhones and iPads will not be able to upgrade.

iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and the iPad 4 are not eligible for the update. These devices will not receive security updates and certain apps may no longer work.

Features

Those with newer devices can expect a host of new features on the updated iOS.

Users will be able to send phone-to-phone payments within iMessage and there is a safe driving mode too.

Other features include 'type to Siri', which will allow users to interact with the virtual assistant in a more discreet way. It will be possible to record on-screen activity from within the new-look control centre.
