The contraband alcohol was hidden in a consignment of food in the refrigerated trailer.

Revenue seized 298.80 litres of vodka, 108 litres of liqueurs and 74.50 litres of wine.

The vodka and liqueurs were Ukrainian brands 'Hlebniy Dar' and 'Nemiroff'.

The wine was Moldovan branded 'Salcut' and 'Imperial Vin'.

The smuggled alcohol has a retail value of around €15,400 and represents a potential loss to the exchequer of over €9,300.

Revenue say investigations are ongoing.

This comes just day after Revenue officers seized 786 litres of wine at the same location.
