Google's autumnal launch event is always worth watching. There seems to be quite a bit of hype around this year's launch, with Nexus fans eagerly awaiting the new phones.

The company released a short teaser video a few weeks ago, with the promise of "something new to love"

Phone:

It's expected that Nexus, as a brand, will disappear and be replaced with 'Pixel'. It's thought that we'll see two new phones; 5 and 5.5-inch models. Both devices are expected to have 4GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 821 processor and a 12MP camera. The Pixel will have a 1080p display while the XL will most likely have a quad HD screen.

Daydream VR

We're expecting Google to enter the VR-game with a headset of their own. This will place them against the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Samsung's Gear VR. The device will work with Android phones. While we have no idea of pricing, as of yet, it's thought that Google will place it in a similar price bracket to the Samsung Gear VR, which costs around €99.

Chromecast:

If you've never heard of Chromecast, you're missing out. At present, the Chromecast costs around €40 and allows users to stream from their phones to their TVs. It's an incredible piece of technology. We're expecting Google to launch a more robust version of the dongle. The Chromecast Ultra will stream 4K and UHD content.

It's also thought that the firm could launch a router and announce a release date for their AI / smart home technology.
