Have you updated your Facebook app recently? If not, do it now and discover the minutes of fun that are to be had with the new Camera. 

Tapping this camera symbol brings the user to a screen full of filters, frames and, most impressively, reactive effects. Let's call a spade a spade here, it's very similar to Snapchat and better than the filter offerings on Instagram Stories. It's very easy to use and will undoubtedly clog up our timelines very soon.

This is test feature, being trialled here in Ireland and will presumably be rolled out around the world before too long.  

Facebook says it wants to make it easier to share moments as they happen.

"We want to make it fast, fun and flexible for people to share creative, expressive and fun photos and videos and quickly with whoever they want, whenever they want."
