BT2 will soon be no more, as lingerie retailer Victoria’s Secret takes over its current home on Grafton Street from January 2016.

Staff at the outlet have been informed, however, that their jobs are secure.

Brands who currently sell their wares in BT2 will migrate to Brown Thomas, with BT2 workers set to cross the street and continue their employment in the flagship department store.

Stephen Sealey, managing director of Brown Thomas, has cited the close proximity of the two stores and an upcoming rent review as the chief reasons for BT2’s closure but insists the more youth-orientated brand’s future is secure.

BT2 outlets can also be found on Henry Street and in the Dundrum and Blanchardstown shopping centres.
