A 30-year-old man has been arrested after €84,000 worth of heroin was seized in Dublin.
During a planned search of a premises on York Street in Dublin 2 Gardaí from the Pearse Street Community Policing Unit seized the drugs shortly before 2pm today.
The man was arrested at scene and he's currently being detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Commenting on the raid, Gardaí said:
"These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks.
"Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
"Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality."
