Ahead of March 17th’s release of the live-action version of Disney’s animated classic Beauty & the Beast, the House of Mouse has shown itself to be lavishly recreating the visual feel of the first cartoon to be nominated for ‘Best Picture’ at the Academy Awards. But what about the musical side? Well now we have our first chance to hear what Emma Watson’s set of pipes sound like, as the first footage of her singing has surfaced online.
When a fan stumbled upon an Emma Waton Belle doll at a Toys ‘R Us shop, she discovered it sings the song Something There, a tune that occurs as the heroine is beginning to become fond of her captor the Beast, played by Dan Stevens. That fan recorded the doll singing and posted it online, where it went viral, ultimately leading to the official Beauty & the Beast Twitter account posting the real McCoy online:

In addition to many of the songs from the stage and animated versions of the musical, a new score and new original songs have been added to the new version.
Alongside Watson and Stevens, Luke Evans (Gaston), Kevin Kline (Belle’s father), Josh Gad (Lefou), Ewan McGregor (Lumiere), Stanley Tucci (Maestro Cadenza), Ian McKellen (Cogsworth) and Emma Thompson (the teapot, Mrs. Potts) also star in the Beauty & the Beast remake.
