A job-finding website is creating 300 new positions in Dublin, with plans to expand its headquarters for Europe.

Indeed says these employees will be added in the next two years.

The company has already started recruiting for sales, client services, business development, marketing, finance and operations roles.

Indeed has sites in more than 50 countries and 28 languages.

Indeed brings together job listings from employer career sites, staffing agencies, job boards, and newspaper career pages.

It says every month, over 180 million job seekers find and apply for jobs on the site with a single search.

Indeed opened its first Dublin office in March 2012, and currently has a team of over 230 employees.

It has been supported by the Department of Jobs through IDA Ireland.

In Ireland, Indeed has over 800,000 unique visitors each month, with an increase in traffic of 40% in the past 12 month.

It also says there has been a notable shift in the way people search for jobs - with 54% of searches now via a mobile or tablet - compared to 33% just two years ago.

Vice president for sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Indeed is Gerard Murnaghan.

It comes as up to 1,000 new jobs are being created at Apple in Cork.
