The actor's publicist has confirmed he has voluntarily sought outpatient care for addiction.

Reports claim that he checked into a Hollywood rehab facility on Monday following recent outbursts which took place last week.

LaBeouf was seen carrying an Alcoholics Anonymous book as he stepped out in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old star was arrested during a performance of Cabaret after he slapped lead actor Alan Cumming on the behind, tried to light up a cigarette and cursed at security guards and police officers.

He was charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.

It was later revealed that he had also gotten in to a confrontation with a homeless man just hours before his arrest and was caught urinating in a restaurant parking lot. 

He is expected to appear in court in relation to the charges on July 24th.
