Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe will announce Budget 2018 tomorrow after last minute negotiations today.

Cuts to income tax are expected tomorrow as well as an increase in social welfare and pension rates.

The most discussed measure in the lead up to tomorrow's budget is the change in the tax bands for middle income earners, at most its expected to give workers five euro extra a week in their pockets. 

Former Cabinet Minister Yates says there'll be a special Brexit loan scheme to help companies deal with the UK's departure from the EU, while the much mooted vacant site tax will be brought forward to 2018. 

Ivan also believes the new Sugar Tax will raise 40 million euro while the Government may also announce a return of the bereavement grant. 

Social Democrat TD Roisin Shortall and Green Party leader Eamon Ryan joined Ciara Kelly on High Noon today to outline what their parties would do if they were setting tomorrow's budget.

The government is at risk of repeating the mistakes of the Celtic Tiger in tomorrow's budget, according to the Green Party. 

They've warned against heavy tax cuts, saying it's the same mistakes that were made in the early 2000s. 

Green Party leader Eamon Ryan says services should be the priority instead of tax breaks. 

While Social Democrat TD Roisin Shortall says income tax rates should be left as they are.
