Gardaí are investigating the death of a man at Markievicz House in Dublin this morning.

Emergency services were called to the apartment complex on Townsend Street at around 11am this morning.

A man in his 50s was taken to St James’s Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators said the results of a post-mortem would determine the course of their investigation.

The scene has been preserved with technical and forensic examinations currently underway.
