Former Bohemians starlet Ali Reghba has signed for Algerian club, CR Belouizdad.

Now 22, the former Republic of Ireland U19 international leaves Leicester City after two-and-a-half years with the Premier League club.

Reghba failed to make a breakthrough at the King Power following his 2019 move from Bohs. His last game for the Leicester U23 side came in March of last year.

CR Belouizdad have been crowned Algerian Ligue 1 champions for the past two seasons, and hailed his arrival as that of a centre forward "of style and quality... capable of playing on the entire front. of the attack, but with a preference for the wing."

Reghba was born in Dortmund, Germany to an Algerian father and Irish mother. He lived there until he was 6, before decamping to Coolock in Dublin.

He made his Bohs' debut in 2018 - at the age of 18 - playing against Peterhead in the Irn Bru Cup. His two-goal salvo away to St. Pat's the following month showed the Gyspies had a real talent on their hands.

Reghba went to the 2019 U19 European Championships with the Republic of Ireland, as part of a squad that also contained Andrew Omobamidele, Lee O'Connor and Derby's up-and-comer, Festy Ebosele.

It's hoped the move to Algeria can breathe new life into his career.
