Bohemians have secured the services of Jordan Flores ahead of the new SSE Airtricity Premier Division season.

The former Puskas Award nominee joins from Northampton Town, having only signed a permanent deal with the League Two club in August.

Flores joins fellow new signings Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe, Jordan Doherty, Max Murphy, Kris Twardek and Tadhg Ryan at Dalymount, in what's been a close season of flux for manager Keith Long.

Some key players in the last few seasons at Bohs have departed since November's FAI Cup final, with captain Keith Buckley gone to Australia, top-scorer Georgie Kelly signing for Rotherham, Andy Lyons joining bitter rivals Shamrock Rovers, and Ross Tierney signing for Motherwell.

Flores' impressive performances for Dundalk earned him a move back to England with Hull City in January of last year. However, only three appearances followed before he was allowed join Northampton on loan in June of 2021.

The Northampton deal was made permanent two months later, when Hull released Flores from his contract.

The 26-year old started three of Northampton's first five games of the League Two season, before finding his involvement increasingly limited.

Famously, Flores was nominated for FIFA's Puskas Award for best goal of the year for his volley against Shamrock Rovers early in the 2020 season.

That was one of seven goals he scored across two seasons with Dundalk where he won a league title and the 2020 FAI Cup.

Flores has signed a multi-year deal with Bohs, and is likely to be part of the side that opens their season away to Sligo Rovers on February 18.

Frank Lampard has been confirmed as Everton’s new boss
